| Starting this weekend, the Flea is taking over another Brooklyn landmark: the spectacular former Williamsburgh Savings Bank at One Hanson in Fort Greene. They will be there every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm–for 12 weekends only (thru March 27+28). Don’t miss it!
With 100 vendors taking over teller windows, banking kiosks, secret rooms, and even the former vault in the landmark space–which features 63-foot ceilings, giant stained-glass windows, gorgeous tile mosaics, ornate Art Deco details, even a “whisper wall”–the Flea is opening up a historic space to the community while giving dozens of small businesses a chance to thrive inside this monument to commerce. All your favorite vendors will be there: top antiques and vintage furniture and clothing, handmade goods, jewelry, and design objects on three floors (including the beautiful mezzanine overlooking the main floor). And head downstairs to the amazing bank vault, including its enormous three-ton bank doors, to find the Flea foodie stable: Pupusas, Red Hook Lobster Pound lobster rolls, Choncho’s fish tacos, and Asia Dog will be there, alongside a few new food vendors, including Milk Truck’s artisanal grilled cheese sandwiches (starting Jan. 16+17), and Kors d’Oeuvres’ small-batch dips and spreads. Yum. See you at the Flea! FIND a Flea vendor PRE-REGISTER as a vendor |
